Doongara is a long grain rice specially bred in Australia to have a lower glycemic index (Low GI). It is also hard to overcook it, as the grains separate well making it good for dishes such as fried rice. Rinse in cold water before cooking and cook approximately 14 minutes.
With no use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers this is truly organic. Working with nature to build on the fertility and health of the soil whilst caring for the environment, Randall’s farming methods has a low carbon footprint.
Randall Organic Rice’s milling process allows them to leave some of the layers of bran on the grain, keeping more flavour and nutrition without a lengthy cooking time, ie it cooks in 12 to 14 minutes.
